As I said before I was raised in Europe and as such was taught to pick one team and stick with that team, I am not particularly enamored with US sports although I do track my teams , but again in the sports I follow, I only have one team in them. Personally there is no sport better than Football it is worldwide. The NFL (Tampa Bay) is the worst sport of all for numerous reasons, 4 quarters , exchanging of players instead of the being on the pitch for 60 mins (no player plays the whole game period) Padding????? erm do they use padding in Rugby league or Union.

Baseball, (Dodgers) Rounders with a few changes, World Series well depending on who you believe, in 1903 it was given it's name by the New York World magazine after it sponsored it or you can believe it was because players from around the world now play it either way it isn't really a world series as a world series includes other countries.and of course seeings the only real teams that play the sport are American how can there be a world champion? No other Sport played in just one country claims it's winner to be world champions but American sports.

NBA (Lakers) , Net ball with a few rule changes ,NBA Championship. Baseball, (Dodgers) Rounders with a few changes, World Series well depending on who you believe in 1903 it was given it's name by the New York World magazine after it sponsored it or you can believe it was because players from around the world now play it either way it isn't really a world series as a world series includes other countries.

NCAAF (WV) it's different for college football as half the players never end up in the NFL so if they are lucky they knuckle under and get their degree which helps them in life

The only genuine sport in the US is Ice Hockey (Kings)

As for Maradona, being Scottish, he is somewhat in our folklore. He made his debut at Hampden and has always had a great relationship with Scotland. If you learn a little more about Pele, you will see that he was no angel, he is a contoversial figure in his own Brazil and he has made some silly decisions too

I read a lot about sports and so I know a lot about the history of a number of them. I admit I don't know a lot about baseball so my inclusion of Ruth was just based on what I've heard. But other than that, I'm an avid fan in particular of college football and the NFl. I also have family and friends who are fans othe teams ando so I'sve always them. When it comes to football, I have two teams and two teams only: Rangers and Scotland. But when it comes to sports that I adopted (NFL, NBA, Boxing) rather than the footballing religion that exists in the U.K, I find it a little easier to follow a few different teams. The 49ers because I've seen them a few times and have followed them since I Was younger, the Titans and Vikings more because of family/friends ties. College football wise, Michigan is always number one but I know people who work within Nebraska and I have also sopken to and had interviews with Clemson players and staff and so have a soft spot for them. You should look at every writers bio, they pick someone for every category, it seems silly to leave it blank. My NBA teams are more casual as I watch them only sometimes but as a sports junkie, I really love all the NFL and college teams mentioned.
