    Ruth, just because of his versatility. Could you imagine what he would have done if he took care of himself?

    Unitas - called his own plays and very tough. Hated Montana because he always seemed to beat my Rams.

    Neither - Magic and Kareem always played with class. How can I root for guys who beat my team.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Gretzky, only because he played in my generation and in LA. Don't know much about hockey.

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Pele - once again more of my generation

    Sampras. Federer will probably win more majors but I liked Pete

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Both for different reasons

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Neither. I liked Andretti.

    Hi Dean, it sounds like we are from a similar era. I grew up in socal, Ontario and loved the Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, and Angels. My grandma was such an Angels fan that when she passed away, we put in her coffin all her Angels stuff. Which included the following, a bat, hat, shirt and stuffed Angels Teddy bear.
    Now that's a fan!

    I have a new take on Lebron. I'm trying to push the limits of BR and not get kicked off. haha
