About Marisa »

Hello everyone... My name is Marisa and I am a senior at Syracuse University. I am majoring in magazine journalism and hope to have a career in sports when I graduate (but any job at all will do, really).

I love baseball (Yankees of course) and college basketball (Go Orange!). I have never been a huge football fan, but I'm slowly learning, so soon...maybe.

When I'm not hanging out with friends or doing work at school, I'm most likely editing your articles, as I am a grateful intern here at Bleacher Report.

Leave me any thoughts or comments... I look forward to reading your stories.

Marisa -
Many thanks for the edits and also thank you for not removing my phlegm related commentary - I wasn't sure how that one was going to fly (pun intended).

Does posting this on your bulletin board make me sound creepy?

Hey, Marisa. Thanks for the edits on my Isles article. I nearly always follow the rule of spelling out the single-digit numbers. However, sometimes when it comes to statistics, I feel that spelling out a number reduces the impact of the stat. For example, it's easier for the reader to digest "6 goals and 31 assists" than "six goals and 31 assists." Any thoughts on this issue? Obviously, it breaks with accepted style.

Keep up the good work!

Marisa, I usually don't like people editing my article. When I looked at it though, I think it looks better since your editing. Thanks for making all those changes. You really do have an eye for style.

Oh yeah, I'm sorry you're a Yankees fan :-)

Marisa, thanks for the edits to my Kevin Durant piece! You've really got an eye for style and word choice. I especially like how you shortened the paragraphs and cleaned up the end (haha I probably got lazy with word choice as I got closer to finishing).
