10 Turkey-tastic Reasons for UNLV Fans to Give Thanks
11/25/2009
My name is Chris, and I love sports.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, and I attended UNLV. I generally write about the Rebels, and the Mountain West Conference, as a featured columnist here at the Bleacher Report.
I love basketball. I love football. I love volleyball.
Currently I work as a financial services representative at a credit union. It'll do for now.
My goal is to eventually become the greatest and most influential sportswriter of all time.
I'd settle for being able to earn a living covering sports.
I'd like nothing more than to someday be able to spend my time in a gym or near a field somewhere, tapping away at the keys on my laptop.
If you'd like to make my dream come true, feel free to contact me.
I'm also thankful to have Matt Shaw back from injury and for the 30+ pounds Brice Massamba lost. I'm thankful for the immediate contributions of freshman...
Approximately 600 years ago, Pocahontas and Sacajawea sat down with Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln for a delicious turkey dinner, and Thanksgiving was born...
Can the Knicks' Jared Jeffries at the very least regain some of his pride this season?

Hey Chris,
I just completed the second of a three part series between myself, Mike Kline and Justin McTeer, breaking down the Duke Blue Devils basketball season.
I highlight the back court of Duke and the different players that will need to contribute to the team. If you get a chance, check it out.
Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks!

Your article on Tebow intrigued me. I wrote a similar one arguing the other side. The thing is as an avid football fan I understand hype and certain things get blown out of proportion. I have watched college football and told everyone and still believe Bradford is not going to be good neither will McCoy. But Tebow he is different. Imagine being an NFL GM, Tebow has all of the intangibles you can't teach, and you are going to draft a QB to win games because that is why you play the games. I believe Tebow can win games in the NFL. Another interesting prospect is Jake Locker, very talented boasts all the tools to be a solid QB but no intangibles we will see who is better at the next level. I included my article below if you want to scope it.

Thanks for the fan add. I love your work covering UNLV (I lived in Vegas for awhile and had season tickets for a few years). UNLV was my favorite basketball team all the way back in the 1980s --- amazing times there.

The Heisman Trophy isn't the same as it use to be. What are the faults and what can be done in order to get the bronze figurine back to where it once was?

DeleteHey Chris,
I'd really appreciate if you could check this out.

It's a unique article about Manhattan's Devon Austin who is adjusting to his first year of pro ball in Europe and I think it speaks a lot about what these guys need to go through in order to achieve their goal of playing for a living.
Take care,
Ari
