    Yes, italics will do. Even better would be simply presenting it in a paragraph as a quote without italics.

    "It [Practice] was pretty good today," said Barnes. "With that extra morning off, felt like everybody was a little more fresh on defense. Personally, this is the best I've felt in two weeks."

    Even without italics, that is a fine paragraph.

    B/R format involves avoiding indented paragraphs. However, I might have been in the wrong here. I'm in my third week as an editorial intern, so certainly not perfect. I am contacting the editing trainer to resolve this issue. I will keep you updated.
