Manning Eyes New Challenge: Playing Every Position as Team is Put on IR
11/09/2009
1. The most important thing in my life is my lovely wife Nina. Abraham Lincoln spoke of "the better angels of our nature." She is that to me and so much more. 2. I grew up poor, had a tough life, and barely graduated from high school. I turned my life around, worked hard, graduated from UCLA, and built a private real estate investment company with my brother from almost nothing. Today our company has between $50-$60 million in assets. I am not putting this up here to brag but hopefully to inspire.
I currently write for the Bleacher Report as a featured columnist for the Indianapolis Colts. I am grateful that I have the luxury to do this for the pleasure of it, instead of worrying about making money at it. It takes a lot of the pressure that other writers I have talked to on here feel.
My goal is to write articles about the Colts that are thought provoking, and outside of the norm.
I also like to teach the X's and O's of football so that the average fan will have a better understanding of the game.
If I can accomplish these two things then I will be very happy.
Yes, bad calls, along with injuries, are like death and taxes. I'm almost ready to move on.
You don't see Tom Brady in my favorites list either. Got nothing against him, he's my QB after all. I just tend to like unknowns and underdogs. Except for Randy Moss.
I was up half the night last night, gotta try to get some sleep. Hope we can continue this conversation later.
BTW, I have been meaning to mention that you and I have a lot in common. I came up hard too, have managed to make something of myself anyway, and I am married to a wonderful woman who is also beautiful. We are a couple of lucky guys.
Catch you later, friend.

Hey, thanks for the note, Justin. Last night I was pretty po'ed at BB, but after sleeping on it, I realize that it was not such a bizarre call really. Manning is going to get the ball back for sure if we punt; at least this way the Patriots had a shot at running out the clock and keeping the ball out of Manning's capable hands.
Ya rolls the dice, ya win, ya lose...
What did you think of that interference call on Wilhite? I thought that was the real differece.
Hey, take it easy, man, and thanks again.

Ranking of Manning's greatest comebacks ever:
1. AFC Championship Game vs. Patriots
2. Colts vs. Patriots 11/15/2009
3. Colts vs. Bucs
I know Manning had to score more points in the Bucs game than tonights game, but this was against the Patriots. A team that used to own Manning.
I don't want to hear about Belichiks call on 4-2 to go for it. Just like interceptions, fumbles, and mistakes players make, coaching mistakes are part of the game to.
Belichick threw an interception, but the Colts still needed to score. The Pats defense could have come up with a huge sack, or pick or whatever. Just because Manning had it on the 28 doesn't mean it's a gimmie. He still has to make that throw to Wayne for the TD.
It feels great to see my team, that's decimated by injuries, that has a first time head coach, a new defensive coordinator, a new special teams coach, and rookies playing all over the place sitting at 9-0.

Talk about bad luck. Marlin Jackson tore his ACL in practice today. I'm afraid with two knee injuries and the emergence of CBs Jacob Lacey and Jarraud Powers this might spell the end of Jackson's career with the Colts.
It's such a shame because he was a good zone corner, he was physical in the running game, he's an intelligent guy, who always seemed very nice when I heard him in interviews.
