About

A New York Fan with an opinion for just about all things sports. Still hoping for a championship for one of my teams. It's been 24 years, time for a parade in Manhattan for one.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

LeBron, D Wright, Johan Santana, Thomas Jones, Brandon Jacobs, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson

  • Favorite Sports Teams

My favorite teams are the Mets, Knicks, Jets, Islanders. But, unless they are playing against each other, I always root for New York. Exception to this is the Yankees. Their fans make it too difficult to root for and the Steinbrenners are the spawn of Satan and all that is wrong with corporate America.

  • Favorite Coaches

Lombardi, Phil Jackson, Pat Reilly, Al Arbour, Jerry Manuel, Believe it or not Joe Torre, and last but not least, Joe Pa

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Michael Phelps 8 Gold Medals. Especially the one he won by thousandths of a second. Makes you proud to be an American

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

2000 NLCS at Shea Stadium. Got into the game late with my father, went to the upper deck and it was electric. Unreal, I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Again, I can't believe I'm going to say this but Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak. In a world full of overpaid cry babies who go on the 15 day DL because they fell down and got a boo boo, DiMaggio's record will never get broken.

I just got back from New York City and had an amazing experience at Madison Square Garden. I toured the arena and gained valuable information concerning the Knicks trying to pick up LeBron and Dwyane Wade next summer. Check it out for me please. Comments/feedback/POTD is always appreciated!

    Hey,

After the great success of my first article about the uniform numbers 1-10, I have come back with the next installment, with the best players to wear the uniform numbers 11-20. I hope you can take a look and even comment on my choices. Thanks in advance!
