I am an aspiring journalist from the Chicagoland area. I write mostly about Major League Baseball, but I also enjoy writing about college football and the NHL. I will be taking on a new role as the Senior Sports Writer for www.ihifimedia.com when it launches later this year.

Illinois beating Wisconsin in the 2007 season at Memorial Stadium. Also the 2005 Opening Day game vs. the Diamondbacks in Phoenix when the Cubs scored 16 runs.


Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Joe Dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak, and Wilt scoring 100 points in a game


Ruth or Mays?

Willie Mays hands down, because he was a better all around player


Unitas or Montana?

Joe Montana won on the biggest stage in sports 4 times. Montana definitely.


Jordan or Russell?

The Chicagoan in me says Jordan


Gretzky or Orr?

They both redefined hockey, but without Orr we wouldn't have as exciting a two way game as we do now.


Pele or Maradona?

Pele redefined the sport of soccer. Period.


Federer or Sampras?

Federer.


Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger


Petty or Earnhardt?

Earnhardt


Schumacher or Senna?

Huh?


Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

There is nothing greater than a Big Ten football game in the fall. Although I must say that ACC basketball is excellent as well.

  5. Yes it is nice to see other sports fans around. I'm glad they have made a site like this. I feel like a reporter I only wish that I got paid like one. Anyways I remember watching the Cubs and listening to Harry Caray.

  11. Nice article, Jim, but exactly what was your point about Santo having hit into so many DPs? That they both stink in the clutch? That's what that tells me...How does that excuse DP-Lee?
