“Sports keeps moving. You get older. You pass the love down to your kids. You think you will care less…and you don't.”
That’s how it is for me. My dad passed on his love of the Cleveland teams to me and my brother, for better or worse. Growing up as a Cleveland sports fan, I've become used to the cycle of fleeting optimism, glimmers of hope and bitter disappointment, followed by me thinking I’ll never care that much about a team again. And then it starts again with the next season, and I still care.
I thought you might like this piece. It’s a personal look back at the Florida Marlins incredibly shocking upset of the New York Yankees in the 2003 World Series.
