I like baseball.
I couldn't tell you where or when it happened. Regrettably, I was not the product of tee ball or little league, I didn't play any high school ball; catch and the occasional fielding-drills-for-fun with friends being the extent of my physical connection to the sport. I actually didn't even become that faithful of a watcher of baseball until maybe mid-high school, the early 2000s.
Well, I've been making up for lost time. Baseball has steadily become an (for lack of a less cliched word) obsession of mine. Not a day goes by where I don't peruse MLB.com or ESPN.com's baseball page, Fantasy Baseball has been known to put strains on my other obligations and relationships, I don't watch the nightly news, but I do watch Baseball Tonight. The game has a tight hold on me and I'm not lettin' go. I grip tighter with every single game I watch.
I love talking about baseball. Few things excite me more than really getting into it with someone who shares at least 50% the enthusiasm I have. And that is what brings me here. To share my thoughts of the greatest game ever played with like-minded people, people who appreciate and respect the game as I do.
Just got No. 50 under my belt. Please take a look when you have a chance.
