Meet Marc Trestman: Next Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders
11/17/2009
Tony (from NB) is a Canuck who's passionate about his beloved Oakland Raiders.
Just a regular "fan" who lives and dies with the Silver & Black. Plans to retire in the Napa and become a season ticket holder.
SR...I so hear you, and probably felt the same way after the second San Diego loss before the break. How many times can Whitten catch that...
Building up to this game (in which it reminded me of a pre-season game), I wanted to see if the talent and will was there without...
Tony from NB replied…
Yes indeed…Total domination…56-18 over the Lions, 5 td’s for the Als QB, and 53 thousand fans…football...
daniel silveri replied…
i saw that too... i was thinking the same thing: "please Al, watch MNF and learn...
I must agree…we can trash talk all we want, but obtaining a 66% winning percentage over divisional rivals is critical, and the Raiders haven’t done that...
Hey Raider Card.
I ran across this on someones page. i llooked at it and it looks like its true. ididn't believe it until i click on the links and everything was true.
THIS IS A FYI TO ALL OF THOSE POSTERS WHO DONATE THEIR TIME WRITING THREADS AND REPLYING TO THREADS:
I’m a long time poster here. To avoid being harassed for posting this I choose to post on a friends computer under a different name.
I’ve read numerous times about others cross posting, in order to increase their rating. I discarded it as just talk, because wasn’t sure how someone could.
That is until I was chatting with one of the regulars here, while on AIM, and was told how easy it was, and how some had admitted to doing it.
That’s when I decided to check and see if it’s true or not.
I had read about how Raider Card kept getting accused of cross posting. His comments were “They can’t prove it.”
He’s right. When you use what he does, which is likely something like this: http://www.freeproxyserver.ca/ then he’s able to post under his own IP, then immediately post under a fictitious name as whomever he wanted to. So I checked what others were claiming, about how the author of the thread was creating accounts just to post on his threads.
Lisa dominates the airwaves, so I felt that would be a good cross-section.

199 posts ZERO posters who just signed up, that day, to post. None. Nada. Zip.
Then I checked Sean, being he’s up there in ranking.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/100526-patriots-making-the-right-move-using-franchise-tag-on-matt-cassel 58 posts
Out of 58? ONE brand new poster (was only 7 days ago, so easily understandable) who signed up just for that post..one out of 58.
Checked Angel’s thread, that had 72 posts:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/104842-if-the-curse-is-true-top-five-candidates-for-the-madden-nfl-2010-cover
How many “just signed up that day, just to post on Angel’s thread? ZERO.
Decided to check one more thread writer, Jeff little http://bleacherreport.com/articles/88241-why-are-defensive-players-forgotten-when-it-comes-to-nfl-mvp 41 posts.
How many ‘just signed up that day, just to post on Jeff’s thread? ZERO.
Then decided to check the poster who not only consistently brags about his ranking, but has been accused by many of cross posting, to help that ranking, RAIDER CARD.
Raider Card thread:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/22834-oakland-raiders-running-game-whos-next 47 posts total.
THE FOLLOWING POSTERS SIGNED UP THAT DAY, TO POST TO RAIDER CARD, AND ONLY TO RAIDER CARD, AND NEVER POSTED AGAIN.

12 brand new posters, who went through the trouble to sign up, just to post that once, just to Raider Card? Coincidence?
You decide.
Next good size thread from Raider Card:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/23183-oakland-raiders-defense-nnamdi-asomugha-derrick-burgess-deangelo-hall 45 posts on this thread.
The following SIGNED UP AND POSTED ONLY ON RAIDERCARDS THREAD/S, NO WHERE ELSE.

That’s 13 posters, who were basically responsible for around 35 of those comments, including Raider Cards “replies” to those one time signups.
13 out of the 17 or so posters on that thread just happened to sign up THAT DAY? And post ONLY to Raider Card? No where else? One shot deal?
Another coincidence?
You decide.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/42209-san-diego-chargers-the-time-bomb-is-set 63 posts.

Same scenario. 12 OF THEM.. Posted just on that one thread or only on Raider Cards threads, NO WHERE ELSE. 52 of those 63 posts were between Raider Card and those “brand new one time only posters”
Another coincidence??

That’s OVER 50 different handles, in just 5 threads, that signed up to just post on Raider Cards thread? Just THAT thread, or ONLY Raider Cards threads?? Those 50 handles along with Raider Cards responses to those “handles” ended up being a hundred and fifty or so posts, in just 5 threads. Out of 229 posts, over 150 were from those names that only posted THAT DAY.
So here these 5 different top posters, with big threads, where there were 528 posts, had ONE new poster, just one, who signed up just for that thread. ONE IN FIVE SEPARATE THREADS..
Raider Card has 51 NEW NAMES, on 5 threads.
5 top posters had ONE NEW NAME on 5 threads, twice as busy as Raider Cards threads.
Personally I think it’s total BS that this guy flaunts the system by stating ‘You can’t prove it, so HAHA!”
I personally am not going to do what he does.
I doubt if those other top posters will do that either.
That’s not what it’s all about.
For for Raider Card it appears that’s exactly what it’s all about.
Now I’m fully aware that Raider Card will do what he’s done to each and every other poster who dared to question what he’s up to, which is rush to report this post, stating that I must be “pick a name” so quick, ban that account and remove the posts.”
That’s fine. All I want is everyone to be aware that what’s fair is fair, and at this point Raider Card is obviously tainting what so many proudly work so hard to do, which is post quality threads to create a quality exchange, agree or disagree.
I’ve never seen any other poster proudly brag to one and all that if you disagree, he guarantees he’ll get the poster removed, along with his disagreeing posts.
Those other posters don’t have to. They create threads that encourage exchanges, pro and con, and actually welcome them. That’s not how it is with Raider Card and it’s time he gets called out for what he’s done.
There’s the proof above. Accept it, deny it, condone it, decry it, it’s all up to you.
I’m simply the messenger, and as I stated, once Raider Card cries about my message, this messenger too, shall be yet another “shoot the messenger” victim.
And so it goes.
My mission here is done.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NO ONE ELSE has people just signing up for one day, just to post to them, and only them. Maybe once in a long while. Yet your threads have 5-10 NEW POSTERS JUST TO KEEP YOUR THREAD GOING.
You should leave and never come back. I will never post on another of your threads. you have disgraced this board.
