Andrew's Bio

Huge sports fan who's lived all over the country... I'm a Chicago boy at heart, but I've been on each coast, and temporarily live now in Virginia Beach, Va. I'm a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, followed by the Bears, but I'll take on any topic that's out there. Looking forward to hearing from ya'll!

Most Memorable Game Attended

Last year, Cubs-Pirates at Wrigley... great seats, I was in on leave from the Navy, went to the game with my old man, saw Aramis Ramirez hit two homers, Cubs won big and moved into first place, and after the game the whole stadium stuck around to sing "Go Cubs Go" There's nothing better than late summer with the Cubs in a pennant race

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Joe Dimaggio's hit streak

Ruth or Mays?

Mays

Unitas or Montana?

Montana

Pele or Maradona?

Who cares?

Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

I'm an Ilinois alum, but the Big 10 is pretty brutal lately... SEC football is always entertaining

  1. First of all, welcome! Glad to have fresh Cubbie talent. Well, one thing you can always do is keep writing strong articles, especially about the Cubs. You do that and we'll have a great site. And as we go forward, I'd like some ideas on how we could have some group particpation - such as, rountable discussions, or maybe I interview the Cubs writers and report on our collective thoughts, contests, etc.

All in due time. The main thing is write strong articles with catchy headlines, and make sure you take the time to send them in with good grammar, spelling, etc so we can establish cred.

I look forward to hearing from you - and reading your articles - my personal e-mail is rememberthecoop@yahoo.com if you need anything or want to kick around some ideas.....

  2. It was a really, REALLY, great article. Smart and articulate. It wasn't the irrational ramblings of a "fan". I really enjoyed your unbiased prospective about sports as a whole.

As for the search, that is odd. I'd say give it another day. If by late tonight or tomorrow morning it still isn't coming up, let me know.

Anything else, don't hesitate to let me know. It's a pleasure to have you here at Bleacher Report.

  3. Excellent, excellent article. I look forward to more great works from you in the future.
