My name is Doug Rush. I am 28 years old from Toms River, New Jersey.
I am a Featured Columnist and the Community Leader for the New York Yankees and am also a Featured Columnist for the New York Giants.
I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Journalism.
While at Ramapo, I was a weekly sports writer from September 2007 until May 2009 for the Ramapo News. I covered many things from Ramapo sports to MLB and NFL. My last story for them was a full review on the new Yankee Stadium.
I also have my Associates Degree in Print and Broadcast Journalism from Ocean County College, where I graduated in May 2007. As part of the Viking News, I was the Editor in Chief in 2004 and the Sports Editor in 2003 and then from 2005-2007 again.
I have won 5 state awards from the New Jersey Press Assocation, 3 in sports writing, including a 1st place in sports writing in 2005 and 2nd place in sports writing in 2006.
From 2004-2005, I worked at the Asbury Park Press in the Sports Department while attending college. In 2009, I worked for The Berkeley Times as as a staff writer doing front page news stories.
Right now, I am currently working for AT&T as a Sales Rep.
I am a die-hard New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
Well thanks for responding.
Writers who respond to something they don't necessarily agree with are the best ones.
As far as Jeter goes he USED to be a great leadoff hitter but even you cannot argue that he should be batting 9th in that good lineup with Brett Gardner obviously the better leadoff hitter with alot more speed. As a Oriole fan I solute Jeter and his accomplishments but he is just not good anymore.
Did you know Jeter is the 31st worst defensive shortstop in the majors? Not to mention the complete lack of power in a hitting stadium. I expect him to hit around .230 with maybe 3 home runs? Please respond and don't to give me the crap about being a leader and "clutch hitting"(beause there is no such thing).
Seems like Poindexter is back again. Least it looks like it.
the fact you came back to comment is almost laughable.
Thanks for the props Doug
Thanks Doug. I saw it. I think it should be interesting to see how things play out. There is no easy way for them to handle the Jeter situation when it is time for him to go.
Thanks for the congrats, Doug. It means a lot coming from a fellow FC.
Hey Doug,
Here's my take on MLB realignment and what should be done. It's radical, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks.

Hi Doug,
I'm sure you've probably been asked this about a thousand times already, but what changes do you think the Yankees will have in you compare the 25 man roster from the last game in August (or whenever the rosters expand) to Opening Day 2012?
Thanks.
