I am a lifelong soccer player. Started at 6 and have been playing for almost 35 years. I was lucky enough to have a German neighbor who moved across the street before I was even born. I grew up watching all the great German and Dutch teams, not to forget about the Cosmos. I continue to play lots of sports but alas the body just doesn't hold up like it use to. Never played collegiate sports, could have in many sports but was just not into the bravado jock mentality. I like to have fun. I am for Northern Virginia and am a Redskin fan. Part of my family is from the coal mining and steel industrial areas of Pa., W.V., and Ohio, thus a Steelers fan also.
