Kyle's Bio

Kyle Jensen is a die-hard sports fan from birth. His earliest memories were playing catch with his dad and older brother. While most kids in elementary were watching MTV and listening to music to go to bed, Kyle was watching ESPN and listening to sports-talk radio to go to bed.

Kyle decided early in high school that he would want to be a sports broadcaster. He started as a part-time sportscaster at a radio station his sophomore year of high school.

Kyle enrolled at the University of South Dakota (alumni includes Tom Brokaw, Al Neuharth and Pat O'Brien) as a Mass Communications major. He got the job as sports-director for the school TV station right away his freshman year. Kyle also got a job at a TV station in Sioux City, IA and a radio station in Yankton, SD during his freshman year of college.

Kyle is a loyal fan to the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and Duke Men's Basketball.

Kyle Writes About

  • Kyle's Activity

The Short List What Kyle thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Brett Favre, Michael Jordan, Ryne Sandberg, Kyle Singler

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, Duke Blue Devils

  • All Time Sports Moment

The sports moment that has made me the happiest was the Packers winning the Super Bowl. My worst one would definitely be the 2003 NLCS Cubs vs. Marlins. As for me personally though, it would be winning a championship in every season as a little league baseball player and later as a coach.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

The 2003 South Dakota Class AA State Football Championship between my high school (Aberdeen Central) and Spearfish, we were the favorites as we went into the game 12-0 but lost.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    Brett Favre's consecutive starts.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

For football, definitely the SEC, and for basketball, always has and always will be the ACC.

  1. Not too shocking....after all, most of the fans around here got tired of watching Elway blow super bowls...or Craig Morton, if you're old enough.

  2. Scary. Another South Dakotan.
    Being a Cubs fan.....ouch.

  3. Yes I LOVE the Badgers--was at the game this past wknd when the barely squeeked by Ohio State...ws really hoping for an amazing year--but that;s ok. We have Penn State this wknd so heres to hopin gfor a win :)

Yeah I have a bit of a soft spot for the Favre Man....I might be a tad oversensitive about it ;)

  4. why wouldn't u?? Montana went on to play with the Chiefs....yet i see more jerseys that are san fran than KC with his name on it....thats loyalty.

Brett wasn't bigger than GB but he gave you 16 seasons of heart and 100% effort..

Just like it's not rodgers fault that he is getting booed--it's not Favre's fault that people are booing Aaron--

People that represent #4 and still root for GB are good fans.

People that represent #4 in a Jets jersey and all of a sudden hate GB---there's the point you should have made. Favre should not be forgotten....nor disrespected.

  5. my pleasure. hope to edit more of your pieces in the future.

  6. No problem dude. Anytime. Thats pretty sick that you visited Orlando. I am DU (Delta Upsilon) here at UCF but I got a couple friends in Phi Delt- pretty straight kids.

  7. Anytime Kyle, keep the great stuff coming =)

  8. Its not looking good babe lol

  9. Hi :) So, Im going to be rooting for your boy Favre tonight. Simply, because I cant stand Rivers..So I hope the chargers get spanked. I like Brett though, I was a bit upset with him over the whole drama that went down but its time to move on from that.. I really think Aaron will do good things in GreenBay. Im pulling for em
    talk to you soon,
    Britt

  10. Hi Kyle:)

  11. I never got upset bud didnt you read my comment? And Thats great that your a die hard packer fan Ryan. In fact, as a 'Die Hard' Green Bay you should be able to implement that fact that a Head Coach can come in and give him more then ONE year, he can turn his team around and make them playoff bound such as Mike Mcarthy did. Of course, the NATION will defend and stand behind our team. Wouldnt you do the same if i actually took the time of my day to write a pointless article bashing on the GB PACKERS? About how theyll plunder without Favre, how the Vikings have had great offseason additions which will make them when the North. Or how about this backup QB..... Injury Pron Aaron Rogers.... will be the biggest failure in GB history and wont even lead them to 4 wins. The One year wonder packers

  12. Kyle - I'm new at this bleacher report - just stumbled across it - had no idea you were a Favre fan - my comment on your article looks like I was deliberately goading you. Truly, not the case. Yes, I believe what I wrote - but also - nothing personal! Now that I see your Short List, I commend you on your gracious response.
