About Jim »

Hi, My name is Jim Cheney and I am just another 20-something college graduate who feels under utilized and over stimulated. I have spent the last 4 years working in retail electronics sales, with two of those years being in management.

I have been a life-long Braves fan, despite not living in Georgia for over 20 years. I have very fond memories of listening to Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren, and Don Sutton on TBS during baseball season.

Living currently in downtown Baltimore, MD I have come to enjoy watching the Orioles at Camden Yards and hope that they one day will lose a World Series to the Braves. Despite my inability to watch the Braves on TV very often, I am still a huge fan.

I am currently a Correspondent Blogger for the Atlanta Braves with the new online sports network, Fan Huddle. You can check out my blog at www.fanhuddle.com/atlantabraves.

In addition to baseball, I also love watching soccer and traveling.

Future plans including hopefully moving to South Korea in early 2010 with my wife to teach English to Korean school children.

Check out my blog www.JimCheney.com, where I write about things that interest me other than baseball.

Hey Jim,

I'm writing articles on the MLB 9s and thought you'd be interested in the Atlanta Braves' piece.

This is a article that I did when I first joined BR. At that time I never really got it out into the community. It revolves around the AAGPBL during the war years when the male baseball players were away fighting for democracy.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/207625-all-american-girls-professional-baseball-league-a-history

It took a little research, so I want to get it out there, so if you could give me your feedback and comments, I would really appreciate it.

Hey,

After the great success of my first article about the uniform numbers 1-10, I have come back with the next installment, with the best players to wear the uniform numbers 11-20. I hope you can take a look and even comment on my choices. Thanks in advance!

I've been waiting for the first half to end so I could put this article together. In it, I rated the O's top ten games, individual performances, and moments of the first half. Check it out.
