Twenty-seven years ago, a child was born into a South Florida home. His father tried raising him as a Mets fan, but like all kids, he didn't want to be anything like his parents. He bounced from team to team, and after roughly six years of an uncomfortably forced Orioles fandom, he finally gave in and became a fan of the team he grew up just 2 blocks away from--the Florida Marlins. Now, after a year and a half, he's a full-fledged Marlins fan who blogs with equal parts love and cynicism. He is Adam Smoot.
