That doesn't mean that I enjoy short pieces. I just think that you could have compacted things to focus on the change in his character. That's the key point here, I think.

Nothing really wrong with your piece. I enjoyed both of them in fact. Jeremiah's just flowed a bit better. He talked about Kofi's former shtick but didn't do it too long. You went and gave a more detailed background, which is fine, but overall, I would grant yours a B+, while his an A. Both were good, though.
