I was raised in Alameda, California. For those that do not know where that is, it is an Island sitting in the San Francisco bay off the coast of Oakland in Northern California. I am a life long Oakland Raider fan starting back when they wore black helmets in 1960. I worked for 39 years in the newspaper business at the Oakland Tribune (11yrs) and Sacramento Bee Newspapers (28yrs). Retired in January, 2007. One of my hi-lights was after just after returning from overseas serving in the US Army, I went to work for my father as an emergency fill in security guard at old Frank Youell field in 1964. I was assigned to guard the Raider bench! I mean how cool was that? We played the Chargers that day and Tom Flores was the QB in that game. I'm also a proud member of the Oakland Raider Internet Boosters (ORIB). My wife and I are now enjoying life and our 2 grandchildren and living in Redding, CA
