About Scott »

One day, I intend to either be in a front office making personnel decisions, or be part of the media analyzing said decisions.

Currently, I am attending Middle Tennessee State University. Despite that, I grew up in the shadow of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and still consider myself a Boilermaker at heart. It's for that reason that I'm now a B/R Featured Columnist for Purdue basketball.

I also maintain a blog at http://starr-rated.blogspot.com/. Check there for the occasional Starr* Rated exclusive that does not get posted here on B/R...like the Current Exclusive "UGH-A: A Robot Mascot? WTF?" There, you can also read much of what I post here on B/R, as I intended it, before editors start hacking it up. :-P Kidding, guys, I appreciate the occasional polish.

You'll find me anywhere and everywhere on B/R, trying to balance out all the idiot fanboys who can see no flaws with any of their favorite teams. I know Peyton bottles it in the playoffs. I know the Bears haven't had a decent quarterback since my parents were in grammar school. I can call a spade a spade and be honest about my teams, which might just make me too evolved for the Internet...but I do see signs of intelligent life here, so we'll give this thing a try.

And if you can't argue for your teams without using the words "we," "us," and "our," it kind of torpedoes your objectivity, and therefore your credibility. See http://bleacherreport.com/articles/193717-when-do-you-go-we Don't make it personal.

Feel free to post and ask for comments. I've sort of changed my ways, and welcome the chance to read new writers writing about new topics. And I'll read about any sport on this site, so nothing's off limits.
