Should the First-Round Running Back Be Extinct?
April 28, 2011
One day, I intend to either be in a front office making personnel decisions, or be part of the media analyzing said decisions.
I'm a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. Despite that, I grew up in the shadow of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and still consider myself a Boilermaker at heart. It's for that reason that I was once a B/R Featured Columnist for Purdue basketball.
I host 4 Quarters, a sports-and-music radio show on MTSU's student-run station, WMTS, 6 to 8 PM Central every Wednesday. You can listen live on wmts.org. You can also follow me, and thereby 4 Quarters, on Twitter at twitter.com/4QuartersRadio, and also search "4 Quarters Radio" on Facebook.
I also maintain a blog at http://starr-rated.blogspot.com/. Check there for the occasional Starr* Rated exclusive that does not get posted here on B/R...plus, it's now your one-stop home for 4 Quarters podcasts!
You'll find me anywhere and everywhere on B/R, trying to balance out all the idiot fanboys who can see no flaws with any of their favorite teams. I know Peyton bottles it in the playoffs. I know the Bears haven't had a decent quarterback since my parents were in grammar school. I can call a spade a spade and be honest about my teams, which might just make me too evolved for the Internet...but I do see signs of intelligent life here, so we'll give this thing a try.
And if you can't argue for your teams without using the words "we," "us," and "our," it kind of torpedoes your objectivity, and therefore your credibility. See http://bleacherreport.com/articles/193717-when-do-you-go-we Don't make it personal.
I am hoping you have time to read my new piece.
Thank you so much,
Xeno

Excellent article on Sun Belt Football 2010 Preview: Ranking The Linebackers. Impressive data wriiten on Demario Davis for the Arkansas State Red Wolves. Was present at the Auburn game tonight (9/4/10), and noticed Davis only played Special Teams and the last 2-3 minutes of the game. He made some great tackles in spite of the few minutes on the field. Wonder whats going on here?
Great job
Scott,
I woke up and ooked into the mirror this morning and saw me upside down and tried to follow the image in reverse for a change. .
Hope you can bear with me for once.
