Followed your man-crush to Dallas?
stop posting links on my page troll.....
Rondo is garbage (rubios stats and his are right in line with each other and they're both sh*t), stop using words altogether please.... In fact, if Boston should fall into the sea, nobodies crying
It didn't happen for 50 years. That's what I found shameful. Nothing more, nothing less. Michael Jordan got a statue erected immediately. I felt Bill Russell did more for basketball than many other players. There will never be another NBAer who receives the Congressional Medal of Freedom. Ever. He was the greatest "Citizen" to play in the NBA. He fought for civil rights & equality as a Super Star in his era. There isn't as much citizenship in the NBA anymore. These players are becoming less and less educated, and can hardly articulate themselves. They have a platform to create social change, and they never utilize that kind of celebrity.
I don't see how I can "calm down" if I wasn't riled up to begin with.
I apologize if I don't understand why I am having Bill Russell's history with the city of Boston explained to me. It's common knowledge of true C's fans about Russell's shaky relationship with city, until recently. He loved the Celtics, but always believed the City was Racist. That's not about Self-Pride. That's about taking a stand against intolerance (He was right the city was racist and still is. There is progress but still has a long way to go).
You wrote one sentence. One very broad sentence. It implies a thousand different meaning. The sentence was connected to the fact I found it shameful that city never honored Russell, when they should have regardless of his sentiments. It would have been a step int he right direction.
I don't recommend starting conversation with strangers that way. A simple "Hello/What's Up, Hey, (etc) my fellow Celtics fan" would have sufficed lol. Not the strangest interaction I've ever had on B/R
Completely random, but ok. Just because he didn't want a statute doesn't mean didn't deserve one. If Chicago built a Statue for Michael, Boston had every reason to build one for Russell. Not because he was the greatest winner in Basketball History. But because he was a great human being who fought for equality. Bill Russell deserves the same respect as Ali, Robinson, etc. The city of Boston should have recognized Russell long before the nation did with the Congressional Medal of Freedom. I wouldn't expect someone who was to lazy to look up Russell's accomplishments.
Yeah I wish Durant was a bit more assertive, but he was his usual clutch self against the Wizards and he can put up 35ppg if he wants. But I would prefer success over individual statistics
Westbrook takes a lot of pressure off Durant, but he thinks he is the best player on the team, where he is mistaken.
Hmm that's very enticing. I would like to bring in Rondo because he is a pass 1st type of guy and he can get others involved. But he is also a locker room cancer and I don't know how he will bond with KD. And he isn't a very good scorer. So no way I trade Westbrook for Rondo. The only PG I would trade Westbrook for is CP3.
