About

I was a Broadcasting major in College. Becoming the next Dan Patrick didn't work for me although I seem to have some of the same sarcastic attributes to my views on sports on and off the field.
I am a little old school in that my allegiance to the sport is more important than the fantasy league stats, but I am totally addicted to fantasy football and baseball. However, if it comes down to it, I'd rather my team wins the game than their opponent's player has a good statistical game because I own them on my fantasy team... It's called fan loyalty. If my team wins and my player on the other team has a great game, that's the perfect scenario!
I grew up in Washington state before professional sports (besides the Sonics), so I adopted the Steelers and Pirates due to my dad's origins in the east, our blue collar background, and the juggernaut that was the Steelers team of the 70's. Of course, who didn't like the "We are family" Pirates? When the Seahawks and Mariners franchises were born I put them in the forefront of my sports preferences so I could support my community and my teams at the same time. Talk about fan loyalty, try being a Seahawk and Mariners fan for 30 years! No championships, no appearance in a championship game until the 21st century (alas, my Seahawks lose to... my Steelers, although some would say they lost to the refs!).
I have worked for radio stations, a newspaper, and am currently in the Healthcare industry. I guess this may be a vicarious way for me to share views with other sports fans whereas I don't have to place in jeopardy my standard of living by working in an industry that required me to move every couple years to a new market while making the equivelent of minimum wage (salary divided by 70 hours/week).
Let the Bleachers be filled with laughter, sportsmanship, respect and true sports fans with logical opinions and reasonable arguments... I'll see ya'll on the field!
