When growing up in Charlotte, NC, Frank Collins loved playing and watching baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. He loved the statistics as much as the games and dreamed of being a statistician with the Elias Sports Bureau. That didn't happen, but he did the next best thing. After graduating from the University of (NC) Charlotte in 1986, he began work as a statistician with the U.S. Census Bureau. Collins is also a recognized local historian in Maryland, an author, and web designer.
