I have no idea if Al Davis documentary is for sale.. I would imagine they will replay it soon.
The Americas game about the Raiders is the best documentary that I have seen...
The 1976 americas game Kenny Stabler, John Madden, and Phil Villapiano Talk abot the 76 season. The 1980 saeson Gene Upshaw, Matt Millen, and Jim Plunkett talk about the 1980 season. The 1983 season Howie Long, Marcus Allen, and Todd christenson talk about the 83 season...
Type "Americas game"on your search section and it will pull it up...YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. They are excellent...

Fred, Im going to check those books out if I can find them. I love talking old Raider football... I know the history pretty well, but I wish I was around back then to actually see it.
I wish I could of seen the early Blanda years mostly... Sadly the oldest game I was able to get was in 1973..Raiders/ Oilers game...
When you can though... check out Americas game on your computer.. I think you will really enjoy them... peace

Fred, I dont have any of those books..they sound great thought. I do have The Complete History of the Oakland Raiders. Its a two DVD set on the Raiders...its really, really great.
I also have a Dvd set of the 1976,1980, and 1983..of Americas Game...These are really good, and you can watch them on your computer!! Just type in Americas Game, Its by HULU, and you can watch them on the spot. They are about forty-five minutes an episode...WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE, WATCH THEM. You will enjoy them.. The 1976 Raiders were awesome, and my personal favorite, but all three of them are excellent.
I did know about Phil Villapiano nick name being FOO, F.U. He wore a fu man mustache
in Santa Rosa, and got in a fight with a bunch of Bikers....Lol..

Wow, You dont remember that one? It was one week after the Ghost to the post game. The double overtime game that we one..(one of the best games ever).
Jan. 1, 1978...It was the end of the third quarter..The Broncos gave the ball to the halfback and was about to score. The Raider D caused him to fumble the ball, before he crossed the goaline. The excuse used by the refs was they could not tell because the ball was lost under the pile up, and they ruled in favor of the Broncos...but after looking at the film after the game... a guy by the name of Art Mcnally admited that yes it was a fumble, but they just couldnt tell at the time...They apologized to Al Davis
We ended up losing the game 17-20, and the Broncos went to Superbowl 12 to play the Cowboys were they lost
I know the history of this team pretty damn well, and I own alot of the old Raider games from 1973 to present.. We lost other games to because of either bad playcalling, or just very bad luck...
Remember the 1968 Championship game against the Jets In New York?....With ten seconds left in the fourth quarter.. The Raiders were on the Jets ten yard line..The mad bomer was throwing the Ball to the reciever(I dont know who the reciever was) But the wind took hold of the ball and blew it behind the reciever...and we lost...Sooo close..

Fred, your article on the Zebras was great...What about the 1977 AFC Championship against the Donkeys??? The fumble the refs dint see, and cost us a trip to the Superbowl against the Cowboys. The Refs actually admitted that they were wrong and apologized...unfortunatly it was ten years later. Remember that one, Fred???
