Hello Lindsay, thanks for letting me know about the error. I hope that you don't take my mistake as a comment about the entire site: There are a lot of good writers on here and I made a mistake that shouldn't hurt them. Thanks for your reply, and for correcting the article (though it would be nice to have a correction note so the initial commenters don't look crazy).
I definitely don't let it color my opinion of Bleacher Report, but to be honest a number of the gymnastics articles (by a number of authors) have been less than thoroughly researched. Bleacher Report would be well-served to find a writer who knows gymnastics rather than asking writers - who, while they may know other sports very well, don't know the basics of gymnastics - to write articles that end up with incorrect information.

Hi Josh, you might want to do some basic gymnastics research before you write an article. For instance, there is a two-athlete-per-country limit in the women's all-around, making a US sweep of all three medals impossible. (Also, though this is not so clear-cut, you might want to do a bit of research on a few of the competitors from Romania and Russia before declaring that Wieber and Douglas are absolutely going to take gold and silver. They are great gymnasts and have a good shot, for sure, but they do have some very serious European competition this year.)
