  1. I posted the latest Twins Whatnot. Thanks for your contributions, and please check it out!

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/21793-MLB-Twins-Whatnot-5-7

  2. thanks for the article. I think its amazing that a fight between a decent wrestler and a bare knuckles brawler could make millions. goes to show the importance of the stories behind the fighters and the personalities involved. good read. i love when my man tito gets pub.

  3. most of the weight is fat, about 15 pounds or so I would say. I have a strange affinity for foreign brews....., anyways I actually fought a couple of years back. I had 4 amateur boxing fights, and my hands are way way way better than my kicks at this point. I think with the georgia amateur rules I have to throw 4 kicks per round, and they will most likely all be front kicks.lol. I am short, only about 5"7 which is why I chose 142. At higher weights guys are simply too tall for me.

  4. american rules, my muay thai is not up to snuff as of yet. I anticipate my first bout being in nov, pending i can get my weight down by then. Im walking around at 170, and hope to fight at 142. Im trained by a professional fighter, dont know if youve ever heard of him, his name is John Gruebel. He fights for Chuck Norris's WCL. He is a former 4 time U.S. amateur kickboxing champion and is 4-0 as a pro so far.

  5. Jon I was wondering if you'd do me a favor and write a fantasy matchup article about kimbo slice vs tito ortiz. Ive been hearing rumors that this fight is a real possibility in the next year or so and I wanted to write about it. However after reading some of your fantasy matchups I think you would do it justice.

  6. Are you going to be going to the ufc event in minnesota? I wish they would have one down here in Indianapolis. I think this could be a great location too, downtown at Conseco Fieldhouse.

They've had a lot of success with Columbus and Cincinnati, OH so far. I guess the blue collar folks in the midwest can identify with the dedication and hard work put in by the UFC fighters.

  7. Thanks so much for participating in the Twin's community roundtable this week! I just posted the article, so be sure to check it out!

  8. Hey, John

View my analysis on the New Madden 09 and what I think of Favre in the cover, its pretty hilarious.

Maybe even Pick of the Day worthy. Remember vote for it.

  9. Jon-

Thanks for the article of the day pick. Hey i heard kimbo slice was shooting photos for an ESPN the magazine cover. Have you heard that at all? I'm not quite sure if that's going to be a good or bad thing for MMA ...

  10. I actually don't see Keith that often. Just starting out, I'm in the beginner/intermediate classes. He primarily coaches the advanced class/fighter training. He focuses primarily on his students. It's cool to have a coach who can put his resume aside and focus on his students' development.

  11. Hey Jon,

I am going to copy JJ Stankevitz's idea and host a Minnesota Twin's community question and answer session. I will try to get the questions to you by Thursday or Friday, and I will compile and post the article by Monday on every week.

If you would like to be a part of this, either shoot me an e-mail (andymacky_999@hotmail.com), or post a note on my bulletin board.

    Thanks in advance!

    ~Andrew

  12. Haha, liked your leinart article, now I feel kinda silly though, I read a comment you posted and how much of the article was based on a report? Either way whether it's all fake or all real it still brings to light a certain level of patheticism on his part, great read.

  13. No worries dude, I love the "Why such-and-such is better than me" articles haha

  14. The lightweight ranking article I'm working on is going to be dominated by non-UFC fighters (8 of 10) so i'm anxious to see how people react to it.

Once i get these ranking articles out of my system i'll get back to analyzing fights and individual fighters and current issues.

  15. Jon -

Appreciate the add and the feedback on my articles. I was actually trying to add you as a favorite writer on my page a couple of days ago but couldn't figure it out for some reason. I always read your MMA articles and like to see what your perspective is ... i'll get you added one of these days.
