About Sherrie »

My father was kind enough to teach me the nuances of sports long before it was fashionable for women to know anything about anything. I grew up with all brothers and raised all sons, and along the way was exposed to just about every sport there is out there. I even refereed a few of them for 20 years.
My remaining ambition in life is to be 80 (or older) and still be screaming at the TV, "How can you POSSIBLY miss that call/that groundball/that net, you #$%(&*!!??"

Game 7, Western Conference Finals, Avs-Wings, as we blew them out 7-0, and the pennant clinching game for the 68 Tigers

Dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak and Johnny Vandermeer's back to back no hitters.
Ruth or Mays?

Ruth, because even today he remains larger than life. Mays was more talented, probably.
Unitas or Montana?

Unitas. Period. Love you Joe, but Johnny was The Man.
Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. Although I never warmed to him, definitely one of the greatest ever in any sport.
Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky, even if it is the answer of the casual fan!

Pele
Federer or Sampras?

not a tennis buff.

Tiger, although not by the landslide it first appeared

not a NASCAR fan

Wow. I don't know either of these two!
