I worked for three years as a high school sports reporter at the Orange County Register newspaper in Orange County, CA. However, money became more important than pride, so I left to pursue another career. But the writing itch still remains inside me.
Had to crawl out of my cave to weigh in on the Dodgers trade deadline deals - hope you find it worthy of your time.

Thanks for those edits, Rory.
Thanks for the edit, appreciated!
Thanks for the edits Rory. The spell checker does not properly work on my machine. I fixed several words before publishing but noticed a few more after the fact. When I publish articles after, say, 7 a.m. on this site, an editor usually starts editing that second.
That means I have to wait and see if the editor saw the mistakes I did.
Hey Rory, thanks for the kind words as well as the edit. Much appreciated
Rory, as an editor, shouldn't you be aware that brackets are used in quotes to insert text not used by the person being quoted? You changed all of these in my Shanahan article to parentheses, now I have to change them back. Additionally, as you were the THIRD editor to take a crack at my piece, could you simply lay off in the future? Better yet, just avoid my work all together.
hey rory,
could you please tag my article correctly so that it gets maximum exposure? the one you edited?

Rory, I'd appreciate it if you did not refer to a complete re-write of my headline as a "minor tweak". I've reversed it to the original headline that actually speaks to the content of the article, something I believe a headline should do. thanks.
please do not edit my work again. I hate what you did to the headline on the Kane story and had to go back in and immediately fix your "correction"
