I'm from Chicago. I go to Marquette. I hate Cubs fans, but I'm a Cubs fan.

Hey Marco,
I'm writing articles on the MLB 9s and thought you'd be interested in the Chicago Cubs' piece.

Let me know what you think.

Unlike some writers that throw garbage out on this site without a thorough, in-depth discussion about the consequences of a deal, I've thrown a new article out there for discussion that I'd love your thoughts on. I respect your opinion (more than many), and would welcome your input on this piece:

Started a new site for Chicago sports fans. Check it out. Added a new Joakim Noah interview to the postings this morning.

One more idea for you... this one I'm interested to get your feedback on because I think it sets up an interesting domino effect of situations. I would love your thoughts.

I agree with almost everything you said in your response.
I think Jim Hendry, when he signed Bradley and intended to bat him 4th between Ramirez & Lee, put Bradley into a position we would agree wasn't suitable for his skill set. Since he's been moved up to 2 in the order, where his skills belong, he's blown up. But to have both Bradley & Fukudome doing the same thing - on base and no homers - after the efforts Hendry made to bring them in, the average fan see that and screams bloody murder.
Additionally, while I agree that the Cubs are going to have to keep Bradley unless (God forbid) they simply release him after the season, I don't think the fans will ever warm to the guy. He's playing as well as any batter in baseball over the last three weeks, but he continues to do stupid things like the hand gesture last night. If he had hit the home run and gone back to the dugout, he gets cheered. But he makes a hand gesture, and what are we seeing on replay today? the ball leaving the yard or his hand "talking back"?
I don't see this marriage ever working, and it could spiral similarly to the Jacque Jones situation, except it looks like Bradley might at least produce while being baseball's Terrell Owens.
For as much as we disagree about numbers (at least in our arguments; we agree on their usefullness and value), I would love your feedback on my latest piece regarding Bradley's comments about the Chicago fans.
What do you think the Cubs do w/ this idiot after the season?
