I'm an Arizona native that is passionate about Arizona sports. Just how passionate am I? I went to Suns games at the Madhouse on McDowell (a.k.a. Veterans Memorial Coliseum). I roasted on the metal bleachers at Sun Devil Stadium before University of Phoenix Stadium even seemed like a possibility. I stood in the student line for hours before Arizona State football games to be front row in section 32. I sat in the limited view seats for Coyotes games at America West Arena (now US Airways Center). I've had peanuts thrown at me at Dodgers Stadium for cheering a Diamondbacks home run. That's how passionate I am.
I decided to combine my passion for sports and my passion for journalism during my sophomore year of high school. I realized how much I enjoyed being a story teller, a record keeper and figured I should put the two together and the rest is history.

I've been a freelance writer for the East Valley Tribune since my senior year of high school. I graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State in December 2008. Although I know the outlook for journalism is bleak right now, I know there is nothing else I want to do with my life. I will continue to work at getting my big break so I can continue doing what I love.
