Not many people are willing to admit they're fans of the New Jersey Nets. We're mostly a closeted fandom. That's what happens, however, when you're a young naive kid growing up in the shadow of the Big Apple in Oakland, N.J. Consistent losing builds character, or so I'm told.
After leaving the Garden State, I settled down in Tucson, Ariz. at the University of Arizona. There I covered the gamut of Wildcat sports from men's hoops to women's water polo. Days after graduating (in 3.5 years), I took a position as Sports Editor at the Explorer Newspapers. There it was my job to create the weekly paper's sports section, which I turned into an award-winning entity. From there I moved on to the same position at a progressive daily called Bluffton Today. The Bluffton, S.C. paper is successfully revolutionizing how community news is parlayed to the public.
I currently live in Bluffton with my beautiful wife and daughter.
