A writer I always wanted to be, a writer I am.
I am Rachael Richardson, 21, recent graduate of The University of Arizona, School of Journalism.
I always told my mom storytelling would come in handy one day and as it has turned out, it has.
I have a passion for many things... fashion, culture, religion, but nothing gets my adrenaline pumping like sports. From seeing the football spiral in the air after leaving the quarterbacks hand, mere seconds from a sack, landing into the hands of a talented receiver who runs forty yards for the touchdown; to the clock at 2.2 seconds left, 91-90, and the point guard hits an open-jumper to push the game into overtime. Nothing compares to that edge of your seat, thriller. You feel like your on the turf and your sure you can hear the loud smack of the ball on the hardwood.
That's where I'm at when I write.
I can open up the eyes of reader and make them feel the same, running right next to their favorite player.
Along with the exciting games that College Football, NFL and NBA present I have recently been swept up by the craze that denotes itself MMA. The UFC and WEC have produced fighters such as Anderson Silva, Rashad Evans, Lyoto Michada, Uriah Faber and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson that have been amazing to watch. Power punches, incredible reach and take down kicks have been some of my favorites.
I am excited to be able to write about what I love.
No problem Rachael, I look forward to reading more of your articles. Thanks for the fan add too.
