Born in Philadelphia and raised in South New Jersey, Kwame became a sports fan early. From watching the highs and lows of the Philadelphia Eagles and feeling the love and heartbrake from the Philadelphia Sixers he learned that sports was more than a game, it was a way of life.
Kwame graduated high school in 1996 from Eastern High School in Voorhees, New Jersey unsure of where life would lead him, however, the one constant in his life was his love of sports and a desire to be a part of the game. Kwame entered college as a Business major, but soon learned that this just did not peak his interest. Kwame switched his major to Mass Communications with an emphasis on radio, television and film. With this degree he desired to pursue a career in Sports Journalism.
Kwame began his college career Clark Atlanta University and finished at California State University, Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles Kwame was the on-air host of his own sports talk radio show, sports editor for his school newspaper, media relations assistant for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA, student assistant coach of the mens basketball team, and interned with KTLA Prime News. Along the way he interviewed some of the biggest names in sports. A list that includes Jim Brown, Bill Laimbeer, Lisa Leslie, Paul Pierce, John Salley, Elton Brand, Jamarcus Russell, Jerry Rice, Adrian Peterson, Troy Brown, Sheryl Swoopes, Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin, Pete Carroll, and LaDainian Tomlinson to name a few.
