I grew up in Dallas where I was raised to be an avid fan of the Cowboys, Mavericks (after Cuban purchased the team), Rangers and Oklahoma Sooners. I also am a devoted fan of golf though I don't get to play much these days because of a shoulder injury sustained (embarrassingly) from yoga. I've lived in New York for over four years and make a living as a freelance writer. I watch a lot of bad reality TV shows but I also still enjoy reading books. I do not like avocados.

    Thanks for becoming a fan, Jessica! I see you are pretty new to Bleacher Report — how are you enjoying it so far? Also, I saw that you from Dallas. Did you know B/R is having a Writer Meet-Up in Dallas September 14th? I help run the events actually and they're a really terrific opportunity to meet some of the B/R staff, give and get feedback about the site, and most importantly to have a good time meeting other B/R writers in your area.
