David's Bio

I am a 20 year old college student that loves hockey. I have been a fan of the New Jersey Devils since I was 5 and some people refer to me as a walking encyclopedia of hockey information. I joined Bleacher Report to write my opinion and not to try to become a serious sports writer. Anyone that chooses to edit my article please do not butcher it by turning every sentence into a new paragraph or removing entire thoughts.

David Writes About

The Short List facts and information about David Heere

Favorite Athletes

Scott Stevens, Martin Brodeur, John Madden, most Devils players. I also love players that hit and play hard like Dion Phaneuf, Jarome Iginla, Sean Avery, Jordin Tootoo, etc. Ovechkin > Crosby

Favorite Sports Teams

New Jersey Devils above all else. I really admire storied sports teams like the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, New York Jets/Giants, Montreal Canadians, other original 6 teams.

All Time Sports Moment

Miracle on Ice. I was not born yet, but even I know the dominance of the USSR hockey program and the history of what was going on at the time. It transcended sports and was a huge morale boost for the entire country.

Most Memorable Game Attended

My first NHL game to see in person, the Devils vs the Penguins. Followed by the Columbus Blue Jackets' game where Manny Malhotra did his version of Bobby Orr's "The Goal". http://youtube.com/watch?v=ONef3tCJFBA

  1. David, I'm not working in firefox today, so here's some editor's feedback.

Great article! I tweaked your headline, formatted the spacing of the subheadings, and edited for style. Make sure everything checks out to your liking—keep up the awesome work!

  2. Hi David,

So sorry for any misunderstanding with regard to numbers. I was just following Bleacher Report's Style Guide, which holds that numbers one through nine are to be spelled out, while numbers 10 and up are to appear in numeral form. With that said, you're certainly free to compose your articles however you'd like! And I look forward to reading more.

    Thanks and all best,
    Gracie
