Im originally from Jersey but moved out to Arizona three years ago. I am Senior at Arizona State majoring in print journalism. I am a huge jets, and nets fan. Since moving out here I have not minded rooting for the Dbacks, and occasionally for the Suns. I am currently an editing intern right here at bleacher report.

    Thanks for the edits! I struggled with "passing rush" vs. "pass rush" in one sentence, waffled, decided to let an ED make the call if one came by. Thanks for coming in and adding polish. You're awesome!

    Thanks, Danny, for the critique. I really do want and need it. I do disagree with the way you broke up that sentence in my article "Team USA Proving Its Doomed To Repeat Itself". The way you edited it read to me like two fractured sentences. I should have spelled out the word three however and I thank you for bringing it to my attention. This is my first article and I am writing to improve my writing skill so by no means do I believe I have a perfect product. That being said, I think it is inappropriate for my article to be changed without my knowledge or permission. Again, I am still learning and am very open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I would prefer it though if you gave me edits without actually editing my article.

    And hey, I gotta disagree with J. Michael--while I didn't see your reference to Randall Gay, you did the right thing altering your article. Sometimes we say things we have heard without thinking of the ramifications, and as we mature we remove them from our lingo. For instance, until recently, I complained that they way they are overprotecting QBs in the NFL, they might as well make 'em wear skirts. I meant no harm, but now it occurs to me it was an unenlightened comment that sends a misogynistic/homophobic message that lack of masculinity makes one lesser.

    I just hope Jacques let his "only gay contact at ESPN" know you changed your piece and took responsibility for saying it (rather than just pretend you had not to new readers like me). That shows more class than a guy who has to make a note of saying he has a gay contact--that's like a guy with white liberal guilt saying "I'm not racist, some of my friends are black!"
