We witnessed an absolutely eventful US Open this time, dotted with numerous incidents. Here's a pictorial compilation of all those moments in the singles draw which stood out and caught our attention during those 15 days.

HI Prasant!

I was considering a Humor article on Uncle Toni & his remarks on Spanish radio about the Paris fans. One wirter here at Bleacher Report was appalled and called for Tio Tony's head. I though Toni's remarks were funny. Toni basically said that it was a French/Spanish thing, that they were jealous of the Spanish players' success.

In the humor article I was thinking of next year's FO, when Toni comes to his coaches seat and the fans boo him, that the next day he arrives with Spanish football players, in a not too subtle hint about the Spanish success in soccer...

But I'm not familiar enough with European soccer and how it has unfolded in the last few decades. Can you help me a bit? You're the big soccer fan!

Is French soccer more successful than Spanish soccer? If, for the purposes of this article, Toni had a few Spanish stars in his box, could the French draw upon some French past soccer stars to make a not too subtle point, and then could the Spanish draw upon some older soccer stars - going back further in time until some doddering folks come out?

Can you help me out with some names??

best,
-c
