A life-long sports dilettante I've played competitive ice hockey, lacrosse, baseball, football, basketball, track & field (pole vaulting), softball, soccer, tennis and golf. Growing up in Chicago in the 60s and 70s I loved the Cubs of Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, and Don Kessinger; the Bears of Gale Sayers, Dick Butkus, George Halas, Bill Wade, and Johnny Morris, and the Blackhawks of Bobby and Dennis Hull, Stan Makita, Keith Magnuson, and Tony Esposito. Added the Flyers to my fan repertoire while living in South Jersey for a couple of years. Now I am focus whole heartedly on the San Jose Sharks, although I'm in mourning for their loss in the first round after winning the President's Trophy with the best regular season record in hockey.
