Jeff's Bio

Jeff Gorman has been a writer and editor for 16 years, and he is the Bleacher Report's weekend and early morning weekday editor. Jeff graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Jeff is from Northeast Ohio, so he is a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers.

Jeff is also a pro wrestling announcer. He has worked for Ring of Honor, Chikara, IWC and many other groups over the last 14 years. He currently calls the action for Firestorm Pro Wrestling in Cleveland. Jeff also announced on SportsTime Ohio for the Fightfest mixed martial arts show.

Jeff also wrote a book about his announcing adventures called "This Side of the Mic." He would be happy to personally autograph a copy for you. Just send him an email at gormanwriter@yahoo.com and PUT IN THE SUBJECT LINE: This Side of the Mic. Otherwise it could go straight to spam mail. If you write for the Bleacher Report, or affiliated with it in anyway he'd be happy to give you a discount. In your email, please send a link to your b/r profile.

When Jeff isn't editing, he helps his wife homeschool their only daughter. His favorite past time is vacationing with his family and dating his wife.

  3. Hey Jeff,

Thank You for editing my article, I'm going to be writing another later tonight. Maybe I won't make as many mistakes this time due to your help.

  4. Jeff:

Thank you for catching my near "liability" in my last article. As always, I appreciate your feedback so much!

    Kara

  5. Incidentally, I'd love to hear you call an MMA fight. I'm assuming you do play-by-play and the UFC desperately needs to upgrade from Mike Goldberg. Goldie deserves credit for jumping on board in MMA's relative infancy, but he's gotten too overly dramatic for my tastes. He's not awful, but the UFC can do better.

  6. Hey Jeff,

Thanks for another round of excellent edits. If you haven't been able to tell (and obviously you have) my biggest struggle is with paragraph length. The short, choppy stuff goes against my training, but it is much better suited for the Internet.

    Your changes were excellent. Thanks.

    Andrew

  10. Hey Jeff,

If you don't mind - will it be possible for you to edit some articles on the Arsenal Community? I'm asking because a lot of the stuff seems to go unnoticed due to a lack of editing..

I hope that quality editors such as yourself can come in and help us out..

    Let me know.

    Cheers,
    Shyam.
