Raised in Arizona in the 70s and 80s I grew to hate the Dallas Cowboys. The only team that resoundly beat those sons of guns were the Pittsburgh Steelers. I quickly became a fan. The old Steel Curtain and Steeler Nation met with my middle class mentality. Of course, when Arizona received it's first professional football team (the Arizona Wranglers of the USFL didn't really count) I had to switch my loyalties.
So when the Cardinals met the Steelers in the Super Bowl I was torn. But after twenty years of suffering in the desert, I went with my Cardinals. Hopefully the years of stingy losing are over and the Bidwells have discovered what it feels like to have a winning team.
