About

I'm a 40-something year old guy, married with two young boys. I've always loved sports. My dad was a professional baseball player, minors and majors, and I grew up with a love of baseball, too. Some of my best memories are of going out to the neighborhood field every day after school and gathering up whoever wanted to play in the neighborhood and playing baseball till the sun went down. Then I'd go to sleep with my glove and bat next to me and couldn't wait for the next day to begin so I could head out to the baseball field again.

I also grew up playing tennis, and have always loved the game. I've played in some leagues and local tournaments over the years, and have always loved the strategy of the game, and the one-on-one duel that goes on during a match.

I've also participated in numerous other sports, and competed in powerlifting (with max bench presses around 400 lbs and leg presses of over 1200 pounds. I've earned a black belt and competed in martial arts, cyclocross and mountain bike racing as well, and in my younger years I earned a few scuba diving cerifications, gone free diving for abalone in the rough and murky waters off the Mendocino coast and the shark-infested Farallon Islands, tried hang-gliding, bungee jumping, and other crazy things.

I also love to write. . . .so what better than to combine two things that I love into one. While I'm not quite as crazy as I used to be, I still love sports, and I hope that comes through in my writing. Let me know what you think. .
