In most cases we probably have a very similar taste. Since I most likely am much older, I had the privilege of seeing Pele, Maradona, Beckenbauer playing live and also many others. I have thought Pele to be an absolute genius but after he became so jealous of Messi, I have lost some of my admiration. And I do admire Pete Sampras but I absolutely "adore"Federer! As far as the game called "soccer" in the US, I am absolutely certain that the best today is Barcelona. It happens not too often that the players with such an amazing chemistry and their coach get together (timing!). A few years back one day I was watching Real Madrid with Zidane, Figo and others, and I thought of them as a beautiful symphony orchestra.... Now I am watching Barcelona (when, say, they have played the game against Real Madrid in November 2010!) and I have even warmer feeling... This is the way the game must be played! I have played myself on a very decent level, I coached, I officiated, I went to 4 World Cups since 1986... And I have never seen any team giving me such a joy watching my favorite game as Barcelona at its best did. Therefore, all that demagoguery (very common for the fans of other teams!!), comments about other teams given negative referee treatment while playing against Barcelona, diving, are an absolute nonsense. How the hell all those little guys would physically abuse Pepe or Sergio Ramos, escapes me... Let them all play their best and for us to enjoy watching it for a few more years at least! Regards, Michael M
