Mark's Bio

I am currently a senior at Western Michigan University, majoring in journalism and minoring in history. I'm currently the sports editor of the Western Herald. I used to be a sports writer on the Herald, where I covered WMU volleyball and men's basketball. I was also a fill-in writer for WMU football, hockey, softball, and baseball. I also am a freelance sports writer in the Kalamazoo area covering high school sports, college volleyball, college basketball, college hockey, and college baseball. Ever since I was a little kid, I've loved sports. I grew up in Michigan, but I always a Chicago sports fan. I've been a long suffering Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan. As far as college goes though, I bleed maize and blue for the University of Michigan. I'm also big into auto racing. While I do like NASCAR, I've always liked the IndyCar Series better.

I'm also an editing intern for Bleacher Report for the summer.

  2. thanks for the editing but there are two ways to spell "defenseman", spelling it with a c is an older version that us writers in the sharks community like to use.

  10. Ah. I understand that mark. But let's be real...this isn't "the journalism world." This is an online sports world. Ha.

  11. Hi Mark,

Thank you, for the great edit on my Dodgers article.

    O

  12. Mark,

Thanks for the edit although I will most always use "we" in terms of the Alabama Football team. I don't think it has anything to do with being professional. and everything to do with being a part of the team. In fact, I even wrote an article about using "we" in articles called "We: A Team's Blessing In Disguise."

  13. Thanks for the edit and feedback.

  14. Thanks for the edits and feedback, much appreciated.
