I love the Pittsburgh Penguins, nothing more needs to be said. I've been a die hard fan since I was old enough to understand sports in general. I went to my first game when I was 5 years old, and have been hooked ever since. Like a typical Pittsburgh sports fan, I hate all things Philadelphia, most especially the Flyers. I'm usually not the typical run-of-the-mill writer when it comes to sports, especially game recaps.

I cant wait to beat those cross state pieces of crap. This series is like a tune-up for the cup. There will be absolutely no contest at all... if anything philly will win 1 game at most! Friday will be the day to kill them.

I totally agree. If someone would have asked me who would be in the Eastern Conference Final this year their would have no way said that the Flyers were one of the teams. They seriously are a joke. Their a big nasty fighting team who got lucky in the playoffs on who they played. Lets be honest the Caps looked terrible, even though the series went to seven, and the Canadians were the second worst team in the second round (behind the Avs). I dont think a sweep is out of the question.

In one of the most even talented series I've seen in awhile, congrats to your pens.
In a series that featured a lacerated spleen, a horrible penalty shot by one of the one of goal scores in the NHL, a team blowing a 3 goal lead, and a shit-load of fights, it would only be fitting the GWG came off the skate of Dan Girardi in an attempt to clear the puck.
It's really a shame that Oveckin didn't shoot the puck at the end of Game 7. From the looks of it, the Rangers should have been able to handle the Candians.
Anyways, have fun with your in state rival, and Good Luck.

Eric, I'm a huge Pens fan, and by your picture and reading your articles(which I enjoy) I can tell you are too. Sean Mclaguhlin and myself have been best friends since 2nd grade. We both just joined the site recently. Its sick nasty. I honestly am counting down the seconds until Sunday 2:00. It is going to be awesome.
