About

A lifelong White Sox fan who grew up on the West Suburbs of Chicago, sports have long been his passion since the very beginning. His first word being "ball" and having memorized the White Sox starting lineup by the age of 2 and their entire roster at 3, Daniel P. O'Connor has always shown an uncanny passion for sports.
Daniel covered sports for his school's newspaper in high school and has been an avid (and very successful) fantasy sports manager for the past 5+ years in baseball, football and basketball.
Daniel still continues to keep sports a large part of his life today. His freshman year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Daniel was a member of the varsity cheerleading team. Entering his sophomore year in August of 2008 Daniel hopes to land a job writing for the University's newspaper, The Daily Illini, as a sports writer. O'Connor also hopes to one day be manager for U of I's men's tennis team as he is friends with much of the team and already attends majority of their home matches.
Daniel P. O'Connor hopes to land a job with the White Sox upon his graduation from the University of Illinois school of Sport Management.

Hey I wrote an article on the current state of NHL writers on Bleacher Report and I think it's an important read to members of the community. Take a look when you get a chance. Thanks.
