As a kid from the other side of town, his family couldn’t afford new shoes. Not willing to wear an old beaten-up pair of hand-me-downs he would walk around bare-foot. The other kids teased him and the nickname would stick around for years to come but Joe vowed to have the last laugh. After a very successful tee-ball career, Joe would hang-up his spikes to explore a more lucrative career in the shoe business. He recently sold his sneaker company to a giant in the industry and now spends his time with a pen and a pad.
