The Dallas Mavericks could beat any of those teams because the league is unpredictable and anything is possible of happening. Did you expect them to go 8-1 against the Lakers and Thunder in the 2011 playoffs?
Will it happen? Probably not. But that doesn't mean I'm going to completely throw out a team as good as the Mavericks. They've improved greatly since last year and will always have a chance at a title as long as Dirk Nowitzki is on their side.

Hey, can you explain why you think the Mavs are really a "contender"? Try to keep a straight face and tell me you think they could beat the Thunder, Lakers, or Spurs. Cause that's implied when you call the Mavs a "contender". Guess they let anyone off the streets write nowadays. Some of you guys belong in fan forums. NOT writing for the bleacher report. Jeez.

Mr. Langford if Jodie Meeks is a terrible defensive player that the Lakers should stay away from then why does he have the best Defensive PER of any shooting guard in the NBA at 9.9? Do you do any research before you write a column? Here, I'll even provide you the source which is fundamental for journalism everywhere except in Sports it seems. Where do they get you guys. It's said because you guys are taking jobs away from people who really are talented writers.
