Ismael: Write about what you know and keep it simple. Read an enormous amount of things in areas of your interest and see how good writers express themselves through their stories. Take a creative writing course in school. Keep the structure simple. It's basically like you're telling a story to someone. One of the best story-tellers I've ever seen, believe it or not is Jimmy Buffett....read "Tales from Margaritaville"

Ismael: Yep, Gruden said it in confidence to a friend of mine who knows him well. Thirty years plus in Tampa and 10 years at the Tribune has left me with a vast network of contacts and sources. I'm sure that when Gruden said that there was an f-bomb in there somewhere. Did this -- Gruden was speaking at Jesuit High School in Tampa when he was still coaching and he started like this: "Let me tell you something about f---ing football....." Sure it went over big with the priests in attendance....

Ismael: Good comment on Raheem. I can tell you that a friend of mine was speakimg privately to Jon Gruden a few weeks ago and Gruden told him that Raheem "is in way over his head." There is a circle that sides with that. The Glaziers are hoping he is the second coming of Mike Tomlin. The only problem I see is that Raheem is too buddy-buddy with some of his players. It's a fine line coaches have to draw. I'm going to address the scuffle involving Talib in my next article with some great insight from Tony Dungy. Dungy is an incredible guy, I've been fortunate to spend some time with him.
