About

I am 21 years old and am from Saskatchewan Canada. My favourite sport is the MLB, followed by the NFL, NBA and NHL. I have loved the Yankees since I was a young boy, and write simply for the joy of talking about sports and interacting with other sports fans. I am currently in a Broadcast program in college, because I figure if I have to work for 35 years, I might as well talk about sports for a job. A dream job would be doing play-by-play for an MLB team, hopefully the Yankees or Dodgers.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, David Wells, Bernie Williams, Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle, Ken Griffey Jr., Tim Lincecum, Albert Pujols, Michael Jordan, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, Peter Forsberg, Jordan Staal, Peyton Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, Ray Lewis, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Edge, Christian.

  • Favorite Sports Teams

New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners, Indianapolis Colts, Orlando Magic.

  • Favorite Coaches

Joe Torre, Joe Girardi, Tony Dungy

  • All Time Sports Moment

Aaron Boone's walk off home run in the 2003 AL Championship Series is number one for me. It was an average player hitting by far the biggest home run of his career, at the most important time. He was mobbed by his teammates at home plate, and the fans were going crazy. Number two was Michael Jordan's last shot as a Bull against the Jazz, and number three was Jeter's home run in the 2001 World Series against Kim.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

1998, Mariners vs. Rockies, my 1st MLB game live. The Mariners scored 7 in the first and won 10-3. Both teams had a ton of great players, including Griffey, A-Rod, Randy Johnson, Larry Walker and Vinny Castilla. A Mariners/Orioles game in the summer of 2007 in Seattle was also memorable, as I drove up for the day with my Dad and Uncle. My Uncle was in his 60's and had never been to an MLB game before, and he had a blast.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Wayne Gretzky's 215 points in a season. Wayne Gretzky's Career Points Record. Ty Cobb's Career Batting Average. Nolan Ryan's strikeout record (because of the way pitchers are used nowadays). Records such as Cy Young's career wins and the single season wins records are obviously impossible to break due to the way pitchers are used nowadays, so those as well.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Mantle. In all seriousness, noone can match the stats or impact Babe had at his time.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana, he is the most clutch QB of all time.

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan, greatest ever.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky. Part of being great is being great for an extended period of time, and bad knees or not, Orr was only great for 8, maybe 9 years.

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Pele

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Federer

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Tiger, easy.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Earnhardt

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Schumacher

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

    Pac 10

Here's why the Yankees shouldn't bother with Matt Holliday:

The new Yankee Stadium had been criticized for its lack of intensity and electricity in the early months of the season, but this weekend’s series against the Red Sox finally make a familiar place seem like HOME.

Thanks in advance, and I would look to hear your opinions and feedback. Take care.

There has always been a connection between religion and sports, and Major League Baseball has certainly not been the exception to the rule.

    Hey,

The turmoil surrounding the 1977 Yankees earned them the nickname of “The Bronx Zoo.” The current 2009 Yankees have an interesting blend of leaders and pranksters, so I decided to create a LITERAL “zoo.”

Check out what animal each Yankee would be reincarnated as in a next life.

    Hey,

Chien-Ming Wang collected his 1st win in 379 days. This puts him on pace to reach 300 wins on Oct. 21, 2263. Can it happen? Read why I am not ruling the tall Taiwanese right-hander out quite yet.

    Hey,

It’s been a very long time since I have extended an article of mine to the Bulletin Boards of my friends/fans, but this one is filled with the true venom and passion of a frustrated Yankees fan. The days of consistent success are over, and this baseball lifer is blaming Brian Cashman. Read how he has displayed the baseball knowledge of a little leaguer in assembling Yankee teams of the last 7 years.

I would love to hear your feedback on this one. Thanks everyone!

    Hey,

Read about a metaphoric but also personalized tale about a cocky Yankees fan realizing the harsh realities and lessons of professional athletics. I would love to hear your opinions.
