John V. Wood is a high school social studies teacher by day, and a basketball/softball coach at night. Wood was a nationally recognized journalist for 14 yrs before turning to education, earning an Emmy in 2002 while working in Atlanta, GA. He also played for Bill Dooley's Wake Forest Demon Deacon football team in 1991 (pictured), retiring from the AF2 (Columbus WarDogs) in 2001. Football's in his blood...
